Today, Indian education stands at a revolutionary juncture. India has adopted the National Education Policy 2020 regarding education, and this policy is poised to give a contemporary overhaul to Indian education. It aims to accelerate education by breaking the stagnation that has persisted from ancient times through the Middle Ages, from the Middle Ages to the Independence period, and from the Independence period to 2020. Through this new policy, India is showcasing its awareness about the education system. While many developed countries are aging, India stands as a nation of youth, with 67% of its population falling into this category. It was upon the aspirations of this 67% youth that Former President of India and Well Known Scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam articulated the dream of India becoming a superpower. With the support of this demographic, Indians have devised and embraced a new education policy capable of propelling the country towards that aspiration.
The new policy aims to offer lifelong education by eliminating age and target group restrictions, promote interdisciplinary education by transcending curriculum boundaries and facilitate skill-based education by moving beyond theoretical constraints. By getting away from the regional biases, it seeks to impart education based on universal values. In essence, the aim is to elevate Indian youth to possess mental, intellectual, and social strength on a global scale. Concurrently, as these educational transformations unfold nationwide, the country's economy and societal landscape are undergoing rapid changes. In acknowledgment of these dynamics, “Ajintha Education Society’s Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Mahavidyalaya Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar” stands vigilant.
Founded through the visionary and philanthropic efforts of the Late Baburaoji Kale, an Indian freedom fighter who envisioned an independent India built on noble values; Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Mahavidyalaya boasts a highly educated teaching staff, supportive non-teaching staff, spacious infrastructure, a well-equipped library stocked with various reference materials, and laboratories that facilitate effective learning and experimentation, these serve as our strengths. Our hope rests in our students, hailing from the neighborhood surroundings of working-class people, as well as those who enroll from Maharashtra and across India.
Our inspiration stems from the oath bestowed upon us by the Constitution of India, compelling us to work towards making India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic. Hence, our objective is to nurture the youth of this nation into wise, tolerant, and skilled citizens of this burgeoning, progressive nation.
Thank you!
